I'm a patient, calm, and understanding person who enjoys helping others feel comfortable and supported. My experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician taught me how to adapt to different people's needs, stay calm during difficult moments, communicate clearly, and help people build independence and everyday life skills. I was attracted to caregiving because I enjoy meaningful work where I can make a difference in someone's everyday life. I also genuinely enjoy spending time with people, whether that means hanging out at home, having a good conversation, helping with daily tasks, or getting out and spending time in nature. What I enjoy most about caregiving is building real connections and getting to know each person as an individual. I like learning what someone enjoys, what makes them comfortable, and how I can best support them while respecting their independence. A personal achievement I'm proud of is my work helping people build new skills, work through difficult emotions, and become more independent. Seeing someone make progress with something that used to be difficult for them has been really meaningful to me and has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and meeting people where they are.
